This is my fourth year as a board member for MJBSA and my first year as president. I believe that MJBSA is the strongest recreational league in central Ohio because of the people involved. Each year the board works to make improvements to the league to make it more enjoyable for each player. The organization takes almost 150 volunteers each year to provide a positive experience for 700 youth ball players. Personally I have coached baseball for the past 6 years, two of them in travel, and this will be my 4th year of coaching softball.
The most exciting thing for me as a coach is to give an opportunity to a child who has not played before or has less skills than others the opportunity to succeed. It seems every year that I have a player that struggles through the season but makes a play late in the season that will make their season a success and will bring them back to play again next year.
I’ve lived in Marysville for the past 14 years and been involved with MJBSA for the past 5 years coaching my son Jake since 8u baseball and my daughter Olivia this year in 10U softball. This is my second year as a board member for MJBSA and my first as the Vice President. I have also coached my son in spring flag and tackle football for the past 5 years for Marysville Junior Football Association.
When I’m not working my real job as an Executive chef at Ohio Wesleyan University or coaching my kids, I can be found at any local golf course working on my PGA senior tour card.
Looking forward to a great baseball and softball season!!
I have lived in Marysville with my wife, Jennifer, for 14 years. We have 4 children who have all been involved with MJBSA. I’ve coached many teams from tball through 12u. This year, I will be coaching transitional, 10u, and pony teams, as well as serving as an assistant coach for the 12u Union Post travel team. I have also coached many other teams in football, basketball, and soccer as well as serving as a den leader and cub master for the cub scouts.
I have served on the MJBSA board as Tball and Pony league commissioner and this will be my 3rd year as the treasurer. I’m looking forward to another season of living on the ball fields and working with a fantastic group of volunteers!
I have lived in Marysville for the past 23 years. My husband George and I have 3 boys. All three have enjoyed playing MJBSA baseball. This is my first year on the MJBSA board. I am also the Treasurer of the Monarch Baseball Diamond Club. Baseball season is the most enjoyable time of the year for me, especially watching the NY Yankees.
I grew up a “North Union Wildcat” in Richwood, Ohio spending my summers swimming at the Richwood Lake and playing baseball. My wife, Tami, and I have called Marysville our home since we were married 12 years ago. We have three active boys, who prevent any dull moments from occurring in our lives! Elijah will be experiencing 10U League baseball this year. Carter and Quinn will be attempting to turn double-plays in the Transitional League.
I have coached many of my children's sports teams including YMCA Teeball and Coach-Pitch, MJBSA 8U Midget League, MJFA Instructional Division Football, and Marysville Youth Wrestling. I am also the Bear Den Leader with my son’s Cub Scout Pack.
A friend of mine once shared a philosophy with me that I’ve embraced. I’ve challenged those who I come in contact with to live by this simple charge — Meet new people, learn something new, and have fun!
I would like to welcome you to the 2012 season of the Marysville Junior Baseball and Softball Association. We look forward to a highly successful and FUN year!

I have lived in Marysville my whole life and grew up playing softball through MJBSA. I also have continued playing co-ed softball through the YMCA in the Summers and through North Lewisburg in the Fall. I also shoot pool (billiards) on a team out of Cue Stick on Wednesday nights...I'm a pretty busy lady!! :)
When I'm not working full time at my current job as a Nursing Assistant or coaching my 2 teams, I work for my brother in law in his concession stand "Brain Freeze" down at the City Fields during the ball season and this year he will be expanding into Eljer's to run that concession stand as well!
I look forward to my last year coaching my little sister in 16U and all of my girls...I'm gonna miss them! And look forward to coaching my daughter in Transitional this year...it's gonna be a great year!! Good luck to all teams!!
We have lived in Marysville for 7 years. We have 3 children who are all involved with MJBSA. We coached the Reds Teeball team for the past 5 years and assisted with 8u baseball the past 2 years. This year, we will be teeball commissioners and Scott will be coaching 10u baseball. Our twin daughters are playing their first year of softball this year. We both played ball as children and young adults (co-ed softball is actually what brought us together 14 years ago). We are looking forward to another great season on the fields. Play ball!
I am a Marysville lifer. My wife, Barbara, and I have three sons whom have all played MJBSA. I have coached over 20 different baseball teams ranging in age from t-ball to American Legion. I have been involved with MJBSA since 2004 and was league president from 2008-2011.

I have coached for two years in the MJBSA in the 8U league and will be entering my 3rd year as a coach in MJBSA with the 10U league this year. I have also coached tee ball and coach pitch baseball through the Union County YMCA.
I played baseball from 5 years old until hanging up my bat at the age of 25 from the Central Ohio MABL in 2000. I enjoy coaching youth sports and teaching kids fundamentals so they can develop their skills and the love of sports over time.
I've been a Marysville resident for the past 20 years and active in the MJBSA as a coach since my boy's started playing baseball. Over the year's I have coached or helped out at every level from Tee-ball to Pony league. I currently coach my son Nick in 12U and my other son Noah is playing in the 8U league.
I'm looking forward to serving as the 10U commissioner this summer and attending a Reds World Series game this fall.
I was born and raised in the Cleveland area where I grew up playing baseball, among other sports, and loving the Cleveland Indians. My wife and I have lived in Marysville for just over 13 years. We have three children; Alden (8U baseball), Avery (transitional) and Brennan (two years old). I have coached a number of my children's sports teams and will be coaching my son's Midget League team this year. This is my first position with the MJBSA and I am excited for the opportunity.
I am a lifelong resident of Marysville and a proud alumnus of MJBSA. I currently teach high school in the Columbus City Schools. Besides being commissioner of MJBSA’s Pony League, I am on the board of MJFA and assist with Upward basketball. My wife, Amy, and I will have our 3 children in T-Ball, Midget, and National League this season. I will be coaching my son’s National League team and help with my daughter's T-Ball team. Busy, but fun.
I look forward to serving as the Pony League Commissioner. Please contact me with any compliments, concerns, or questions.

I grew up playing baseball and love the sport. I still play softball four nights a week in various leagues throughout Marysville and Columbus but as much as I love to play I have more fun coaching. I moved to Marysville from eastern Ohio in 2001 when I married my wife Angie and together we have a son and a daughter.
I have been active in MJBSA since my son started playing tee ball. Since then I have coached, either as an assistant or head coach, all of his teams. I am looking forward to coaching again this year as my son moves up to 10U. This is my second year as a commissioner. I enjoy being on the board and like helping to make sure all of the MJBSA kids get to have a great experience playing ball.
I have been involved in MJBSA for 10 yrs as Manager of Umpires. I have been a licsensed OHSAA umpire for 11 yrs in softball, baseball, football and basketball.
I grew up playing baseball as a Wildcat in nearby Kenton, OH and have lived in Marysville since 2003. I have been involved with MJBSA since 2006 when my boys first began playing 8U baseball. Since then I have coached several MJBSA teams at both the 8U and 10U levels as well as three fall baseball teams outside of MJBSA.
I created and administer this website through my freelance website design and development company. I am also behind most of the league emails, so hopefully you don't get sick of hearing from me. I am always open to suggestions for improvement related to this site, so feel free to voice them.
